About Stephanie M. Jimenez, Esq.
Attorney & Founder
Estate Planning • Special Needs Planning • Special Education Law
Stephanie is the founder of the Law Office of Stephanie M. Jimenez, a boutique practice dedicated to estate planning, special needs planning, and select special education law matters. She brings together a rare combination of legal expertise, special education advocacy, and more than two decades of global executive leadership to support families with clarity, compassion, and long‑term stability.
Stephanie began her legal career representing families navigating the complexities of the special education system under IDEA and the ADA. She continues to handle special education cases today, advocating for appropriate services, individualized supports, and educational environments that honor each child’s needs. Her work in this field is grounded in the belief that every child deserves dignity, stability, and a plan that protects their future.
Her estate planning practice emerged from witnessing firsthand how preventable gaps in planning can profoundly disrupt a child’s life. She has represented families whose children lost essential therapies after a parent’s unexpected death because no special needs trust was in place, and families whose children were left without a safe caregiver during emergencies because short‑term guardians had not been legally appointed. These experiences revealed how traditional estate planning often fails families, especially those with children who rely on consistency of care.
Drawing on her background as a former Chief Operating Officer and global operations executive, Stephanie built a law firm intentionally designed to eliminate these failures. Her practice emphasizes structure, transparency, and ongoing support. Her approach ensures that every plan is not only legally sound but also practical, accessible, and aligned with the real lives of the families she serves.
Before entering the legal field, Stephanie held senior leadership roles in Fortune 500 and private‑equity‑backed companies, including serving as Chief Operating Officer and President. She led global operations, legal, compliance, and risk teams across multiple countries, developing systems that supported organizational growth and long‑term stability. She now applies that same operational precision to designing estate plans that work in moments of crisis, transition, and change.
Stephanie holds a Juris Doctor from California Southern University, as well as an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Education. She is licensed to practice law in California and serves clients throughout the state.
As a mother and grandmother, especially to a grandchild with special needs, Stephanie approaches every client relationship with empathy, respect, and a deep understanding of what families are trying to protect. She believes estate planning is an act of love and that the true measure of a plan is how well it serves the people left behind.
